Slaney River is an ideal amateur/professional eventer. He has a dept of experience cross-country and showjumping. He learnt his trade hunting with the Tipperary Fox Hounds, having been hunted by the great Ponsonby Family. His showjumping skills were developed by Irish International Showjumpering Rider, Garret Frayne. He has competed successfully in both England and Ireland. |
Slaney River comes from the immediate family of the great Rockbarton. Slaney River has competed in the Blarney Three Day Event - One Star and won Teachers Working Hunter Qualifier. He was unable to compete in final because owner's daughter was judging the competition. Slaney River qualified in S.J. Final at Millstreet and qualified for two S.J. Championships in U.K. At present, Slaney River has 30 I.H.T.S. points and 27 B.H.T.A. points. Slaney River was competing last year in England ridden by a Young Rider.
