Trevor Smith and Austin O'Connor presented their horses, High Scope and Horseware Fabio for inspection. Both horses passed. High Scope was a bit stiff after yesterday's cross-country but passed with no problem. Trevor finished 18th and Austin finished 17th. The Gold went to David O'Connor on the Irish bred Custom Made. Silver was won by Andrew Hoy and Bronze by Mark Todd.

We sent six horses to the Olmypics and we got six horses through each phase. We were the only Team to finish with a full squad of riders and horses in both competitions. We produced the best performance by an Irish Olympic Event Team in the past 40 years.

Congratulations to Ginny, Nikki, Trish and Sue, Austin and Trevor. Also to Helen, Con, Mary, grooms Rob, Marion and Ann, Colin and Katherine. It was a team effort and a good one.
